Cookie notice
This page explains what this website stores in your browser, how long it lasts, and how to clear the choice. It was written in 2026 and should be read with our privacy notice.
What we use
Businessdatainsights does not run a marketing analytics suite on this site. We do not drop a pixel to watch you from page to page. The banner you see on the first visit is there because the contact page can load a map from Google, and because we need a way to remember that you have already answered.
The only cookie we set ourselves is named bdi_consent. It stores the word accept or the word decline, depending on which button you pressed. It is set with path=/, a maximum age of 15,552,000 seconds (one hundred and eighty days), and SameSite=Lax. It is a technical cookie. Its only job is to hide the banner on the next visit so we do not ask the same question every time you open a page. It does not contain your name, your e-mail address, or a unique advertising identifier we invented.
If you click Decline, we still set bdi_consent with the value decline. That is how the banner knows not to return for one hundred and eighty days. Declining does not stop the site from working. Pages, forms and notes remain available. The difference sits on the contact page, where the map is provided by Google rather than by us.
We may also write a matching key in localStorage when you use the reset control on this page, so that a leftover key from an older visit can be cleared in one gesture. The live banner logic reads the cookie named bdi_consent.
Google Maps on the contact page
The contact page includes an embedded map pointing at Aperia Tower, 10 Kallang Avenue, Singapore 339510. The embed is served by Google as an iframe. When that iframe loads, Google may set cookies or similar storage on their domain, under Google’s own terms and privacy materials. We do not control those cookies, we do not read them, and we do not use them to measure our audience.
If you would rather not load third-party map storage, you can decline the banner and still reach us by telephone, e-mail, or the address on the page. You can also open the same location in a map application you already trust, without using our embed. The iframe is a convenience for people who want to see the building on the way to a meeting.
The banner text on every page says that we use one cookie to remember the choice and that Google Maps loads on the contact page. That sentence is the short version of this notice. Details live here so the banner can stay short.
How to withdraw the choice
To clear the remembered choice, use the button below. It deletes the bdi_consent cookie, removes a localStorage key of the same name if one exists, and reloads this page. After the reload the banner will show again, and you can accept or decline as if it were the first visit. The control does not delete Google’s cookies on google.com. Those are cleared through your browser or through Google’s own tools.
If the button does not run because scripts are blocked, delete the cookie named bdi_consent for this site in your browser settings, then refresh. The banner is visible by default until a choice exists. We do not hide it with a style rule that assumes you have already agreed.
Browser settings, and what this notice is not
Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for this host. If you block all cookies, the banner may return on each visit because the browser will not keep bdi_consent. Forms will still work. Sticky navigation and the rest of the layout do not depend on that cookie.
This notice is not a list of advertising partners, because we do not have one on this site. It is not a consent to sell data. If we ever add a genuine analytics tool, we will name it here before it runs. As of the 2026 revision, that has not happened.
